With the news that the Florida Cabinet will vote Tuesday to buy the
Kirby
mine from Joe Anderson for $27 million, we need to stage a protest
at the
Capitol Monday.
I am in touch with Senator Mitchell's office, the leaders in Bagdad
and Cross
City against Joe Anderson, with the advice that a protest with media
present
will send a clear message to Governor Bush and to the Cabinet concerning
our
views on Joe Anderson receiving money at the snap of the fingers to
finance
the building of his cement plant.
Althought the Kirby Mine is a desirable asset to the environmental cause,
the
exchange for that mine for BLASTING 100 thousand tons of limerock only
2
miles from the Ichetucknee River, when the effects HAVE NEVER BEEN
STUDIED is
ludicrous. Bush needs to know that thousands of people will be
working
AGAINST him and his Texas brother in the upcoming elections.
Anyone who is available to travel to Tallahassee on Monday, Dec 13,
please e
mail me back immediately and/or telephone me at 352-378-6603.

I am trying to see if the Cabinet won't delay the vote on the Kirby
mine,
since we have not had any time to consider if we desire to comment.
I will
announce the decision tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion.
