e-mail addresses for the Cabinet Aides to write about mining and the rivers

River Lovers,
The e-mail addresses below are for the Cabinet Aides.  They inform the
Cabinet of issues to be considered in the Cabinet meetings.  Please write
your letters of concern about the purchase of the Anderson mine above the
Ichetucknee by Friday, January 21.
Confusion reigns about the exact deal DEP negotiated between Anderson and
DEP:
Has the mining issue been studied adequately?
Why is the Kirby Mine not included in the purchase?
Who has evaluated the purchase price of the mine?
Who did the study on the impact of the mines?
What impact will mining to the West, at the cement kiln site, have on the
Outstanding Florida Waters: the Ichetucknee, the Suwannee, and the Santa Fe
Rivers?
Although A/C has a mining permit at the cement kiln site, how will the
mine be expanded for 50 years of use?
Shouldn't a thorough study of mining surrounding the Park be accomplished
before an air permit is issued?
How are the Outstanding Florida Waters being protected to have zero
degradation, as mandated by law?
What considerations for noise pollution has been given to the swap in
mining rights from one mining site to the other, both affecting the 3 Rivers
and the ambiance of the rural community?

Please take time to write a note to the Cabinet Aides.  Dave Bruderly and
I will be talking to them Wednesday, January 19, to voice our concerns in
preparation for the upcoming Cabinet Meeting, where Governor Bush will
preside, January 25.
